Hi,
I’m visiting Amalfi coast in end of april and planning to buy the arte regional card (3 days) to cover all my trips around Campania.
A very reliable option seems to be the train to Salerno & bus from there to Amalfo. However, to make most of my card, I looked at bus options from Naples-Amalfi (either direct or through Salerno). The best bus I found is 5020-Napoli-Amalfi departing at 9am from Napoli (Varco Immacolatella). Even if I take the train to Salerno & then bus to Amalfi, it would take almost same time.Now, my questions:
a.Are there any better buses (including EAV) towards Amalfi or Salerno?
b.Is this 5020 bus still running reliably? How to reach Varco Immacolatella station comfortably from Naples Central station area?
c.I went through your links for Amalfi-Naples and Salerno-Naples but I didn’t find any reliable direct buses in the evening to Naples. Pl confirm and post links to routes in English if any.Thanks!

I wonder if it’s possible to choose 5080 Napoli, via Agerola S Maria
( 6 times a day?)By example: Amalfi 17:00, Agerola S Maria 17:45 -change bus
Agerola S Maria 17:55, Napoli 19:50Can someone read the timetable and confirm?
Thanks!

Hi, Nadigar.
1) The only way to reach Amalfi or Salerno is a Sita bus or a private transfer;
2) These timetables are currently valid; in April they may change; 5020 should have a stop near the Central Station;
3) There are no buses in the evening.Have a nice journey.

Thanks!
Will check back in April.
As per https://www.sitabus.it/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/5080_Amalfi-Napoli__dal011215.pdf
the change point for 5080 is Agerola S.Lazzaro and departure to Napoli is 10 min earlier. So, this route is not possible.
I guess I’ll check for any EAV options or stick to trains (from Sorrento or Salerno). - Febbraio 6, 2016 alle 2:39 pm #9409MonicaSpettatore
For Naples Sorrento you can check these:

No, the change point is Agerola (S Maria) so you have 10 minutes to catch the bus to Napoli. The timetable has a logic.
Sincerely I don’t understand why the terminus station is little S Lazzaro and not Amalfi.
S Lazzaro is situated on a ramification of main road. - Aprile 12, 2016 alle 6:44 pm #29338AndbarPartecipante
