The bus company ATVO (Azienda Trasporti Veneto Orientali) offers such connections every day. Buses of the line 351 connects Treviso airport with Venice in one hour. ATVO is the only bus company in Venice that can arrive directly on Piazzale Roma. Buses also stop in Mestre train station (ATVO train station) and in Mestre Corso del Popolo/Banca BNLATVO. One way tickets cost 12 EUR, two-way ticket – 22 EUR. Barzi Service connects Treviso Airport with Mestre and Venice Tronchetto in only 40 minutes via motorway.  One way tickets cost 12 EUR, two way tickets – € 22,00, children under 10 don’t need to pay. Tickets can be bought at desks at the airport and in Treviso Province, directly on the bus, at car rental Elitte/Autonoleggi Elitte in Mestre (situated on viale della stazione) or at the ticket offices/uffici  Marco Polo, Tronchetto. Venice Airport Marco Polo is situated rather close to Padova. Line FSBusitalia operated by Busitalia Veneto offers connections between Venice Airport and Padova. A bus also stops in Venice  (P.le Roma). The bus terminal in Padova is situated near the train station. Average journey time is one hour. One way tickets cost 2,40 €, if you buy tickets on the bus, they will cost more.

Line FSBusitalia operated by Busitalia Veneto offers connections between Treviso Airport and Padova every day. At the airport the bus leaves from Noalese street, that is situated on the right from the Airport exit, whilst in Padova the bus terminal is situated near the train station. Average journey time is 1 hour. One way tickets cost  2,40 €. Tickets can be bought in the ticket offices in Treviso Airport at the arrival zone or on the bus (with some extra charges).

2. Line 53E di ACTV connects Vencie with Padova every day. Average journey time is one hour. In Padova the bus terminal is situated near the train station, whilst in Venice in  Piazzale Roma, bus lane B6. Siena railway station

Siena railway station is situated on Carlo Rosselli square. The railway station is not big, there are 7 platforms in total. At the station there are tickets offices for both trains and buses, newspaper kiosk, bar. Just in front of the station there is a shopping mall and the University of Siena for foreigners/ l’Universita di Siena per gli Stranieri.

There are national and regional trains that connect Siena with different cities of Toscana and other regions of Italy. For example, it is easy to reach Florence by train. Every day leaves 31 trains that connect two cities. The first train to Florence from Siena leaves at 05:00, whilst the last one at  21:26 (during weekdays). The average journey time is one hour. The price is 9,10 EUR. What is more, from the train station of Siena it is also possible to reach Roma Termini. There are 21 trains each day that connect two cities. The first train to Rome from Siena leaves at  05:43, the last one – at 20:24 (weekdays). The average journey time is 3 hours and 30 minutes. You need to do 1 change. Tickets cost from 18 EUR.

In Siena there are 3 bus companies that connect Siena with different cities of Toscana (such as Pisa, Arezzo, Grossetto, Piombino, Florence and so on) and with cities of other regions of Italy: TIEMME SpA, BUSITALIA – SITA Nord and SIENA Mobilità. There are two main bus terminals: railway train station and piazza Gramsci, that is situated in the city center. Usually buses stop in both of them, but it is better to verify that with a driver. Siena station is situted just 2 km from city center. From the station it take only 5 minutes to get to the city center; buses leave regularly or to piazza Gramsci or to per piazza del Sale. Tickets can be bought on the bus (with some extra charges) or in the selling points (such as bars, newspaper kiosks, tabaccherie). Urban tickets cost around 1 EUR.

What is more, from the Siena railway station leave Baltour buses to Rome. These buses stops at the railway station and in Piazza Gramsci. Tickets cost around 9 EUR. There are 12 buses per day that connect two cities. Average journey time is 3 hours. Buses arrive to Roma Tiburtina. What is more, there are buses  BusShuttle, operated by Tiemme (in collaboration with SIT and ByBus), that connect Siena with Fiumicino Airprot. There are 3 buses per day, both during weekdays and during holidays. It is necessary to book tickets beforehand. Average journey time is 3 hours. Napoli Centrale railway station

Napoli Centrale railway station is the main railway station in Naples. It is located next to Piazza Garibaldi. Under Napoli Centrale there is the metro station that is called Stazione Piazza Garibaldi (Garibaldi Piazza station), it is served by the metropolitan trains of the line 2.

Napoli Centrale railway station is connected by verious trains of Trenitalia and EAV (Ente Autonomo Volturno). For example, there are direct trains to and from Rome and to and from Salerno. In addition to this there is Circumvesuviana train station. Circumvesuviana is a railway operating services in the East of the Naples metropolitan area, managed  by EAV . The Circumvesuviana network is 142 km long, it covers around 96 stations and provides services to the important tourist destinations such as Pompeii (How to reach Pompeii) and Herculaneum (how to reach Herculaneum).

  • Autobus

Napoli Centrale railway station offers numerous bus lines that connect different areas of Naples and the province. To move around the city, it is possible to use buses operated by  ANM, Azienda Napoletana Mobilità.

In addition to this, there are also buses Alibus that connect Napoli Centrale with Capodichino Airport. Average journey time is only 20 minutes.

  • Metro

As was mentioned before, under Napoli Centrale railway station there is the metro station line 2 that is called Stazione Piazza Garibaldi (Garibaldi Piazza station). Line 2 is operated by Trenitalia SpA. The line starts operate at 5.20 and finishes at 23.20. Trains arrive with frequency of 8 minutes.

Beside this, Napoli Centrale is connected with line 1 of Naples metro through a passage. Line 1 is operated by ANM, Azienda Napoletana Mobilità. From Piscinola first train leaves at 6.00 and from Garibaldi – at 6.20. As for the last train, from Piscinola a train leaves at 22.29 and from Garibaldie – at 23.02.

How to get to Pavia

Pavia

Pavia is situated in the Lombardia region, that is 35 km from Milan. Pavia is a city of art, culture and nature and has a lot to offer. It can be easily reached by both trains and buses from airports of Milan and nearby cities.

  • Milan airport Linate – Pavia

Milano airport Linate is situated 58 km from Pavia. There are 2 options to get there:

1. Autoservizi Botti offers such connections every day. One way tickets cost 15 EUR, two way tickets – 27 EUR. For children, who are less than 12, there are some discounts. The average journey time is 40 minutes.

2. At first, you should arrive to the Stazione Centrale of Milan. For more information: Linate airport: connections. From the train station you can easily reach Pavia by train. The average journey time is 30 minutes. Tickets cost from 4 EUR.

  • Milano Malpensa airport  – Pavia

Milano Malpensa airport is situated 85 km from Pavia. Unfortunately, there are no direct connections with Pavia. At first you should arrive to the Stazione Centrale of Milan. For more information: Malpensa airport: connections. From Milano Stazione Centrale it is possiblie to reach Pavia by train. The average journey time is 30 minutes. Tickets cost from 4 EUR.

  • L’aeroporto Bergamo Orio al Serio – Pavia

Unfortunately there are no direct connections between Bergamo Orio al Serio airport and  Pavia as well. At first, you should arrive to the train station of Bergamo or of Milan. For more information: Bergamo Orio al Serio airport: connections. Then it is possibile to reach Pavia by train.

  • Milan – Pavia

From Milan it is also possible to get to Pavia by bus, not only by train. However, please note, that buses do not live from the Stazione Centrale of Milan but from different bus stops of the city. There are two bus companies that offer direct connections between Milan and Pavia: PMT ed Arfea.

1. PMT offers several bus lines:

a) Line t094: buses leave from Milano Romolo, that is from the bus stop near the metro station Romolo (green line M2) The average journey time is one hour as a bus makes many intermediate stops along the way.

2. Bus company Arfea, in turn, offers only one bus line between Milano Famagosta and Pavia. As  you can see, buses leave from Famagosta, that is from the bus stop near the metro station Famagosta (green line M2). Average journey time is 30 minutes. Tickets cost I biglietti costano circa 4-5 €.

Ferrara: how to get there

Ferrara is situated in the Emilia-Romagna region. Ferrara is well connected by buses and trains. It is situated 45 km from Bologna and 110 km from Venice. Airports that are close to Ferrara are: Bologna airport and Venice Marco Polo airport.

  • Bologna airport – Ferrara

There are two options to get to Ferrara from Bologna.

1. To take direct buses Bus&Fly. Buses Bus & Fly connects Bologna airport with Ferrara in one hour. Buses run 8 times per day, making 3 bus stops in Ferrara: at the shopping center, train station and in viale Cavour (city center). One way ticket costs 15 EUR. Tickets can be bought on the bus.

2. The second option is to first arrive to the train station of Bologna and then take a train to Ferrara. To arrive to the train station of Bologna from the airport you need to take Aerobus. For more infromation: : Bologna airport: connections

Then you should take a train to Ferrara. (around 30 minutes)

  • Venice airport Marco Polo  – Ferrara

Venice airport is situated futher from Bologna airport (110 km from Ferrara). There are no direct connections. At first, you should reach Mestre train station. For more information: Venice airport Marco Polo: connections.

Then you should take a train to get to Ferrara (around 60 minutes)

  • Bologna – Ferrara

TPER (Trasporto Passeggeri Emilia-Romagna) offers connections between Bologna and Ferrara. Line 356 connects two cities. Tickets can be bought on the bus (with extra charges) or in the tickets selling points. In Ferrara the bus terminal is in Corso Isonzo, whilsts in Bologna at the Piazza XX Settembre, 6.

  • Venice  – Ferrara

Flixbus offers daily connections between Vencie and Ferrara. Tickets cost from 5 EUR, full price -19 EUR. In Venice the bus terminal is in Venice Mestre train station, viale stazione 16. In Ferrara – at the square near the train station. The bus also stops in Padova (parking Piazzale Boschetti).

Timetable:

From Ferrara a bus leaves at 07.55 and arrives to Venice Mestre Station at 10.00. At the same time a bus leaves from Venice Mestre Station at 20.35 and arrives in Ferrara at 22.40.*

TPER also connects Modena and Ferrara. Lines 550, 551, 552 connect two cities every day. Average journey time is 2 hours.

Train station in Ferrara is situated 20 minutes from the city center so it can be reached on foot or by bus. Please note that because of some work in progress at the train station from 08.08 to 21.08.16, some trains from Bologna would be replaced by bus.
