The Salento region: connections

The region of Salento is situated in Puglia. It is famous for its various towns with beutiful beaches. In order to get to the region of Salento, the Province of Lecce offers buses that connect different towns of the region. (An initiative called Salento In Bus that offers several bus lines that are active from 15.06.16 till 15.09.16).

Below you can find  timetables of the bus lines. As was mentioned before, these buses operate from 15.06.16 till 15.09.16. However, not all buses operate entirely this time period. So please look at the timetable carefully. Below you also can find the tariff system. The price varies depending on the km. Please note that all costs undergo additional charges of 0,40 €  if the tickets are bought online and 1.00 € if the tickets are bought in the bus.

Tropea how to get there

Tropea is the ancient city in Calabria that is well known for its spectacular beaches and food.

  • Rome Tropea

The bus company GencoBus  offers connections between Rome and Tropea every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. From Rome the bus leaves at 15:30 and arrives in Tropea at 23.00. From Tropea, in turn, the bus leaves at  07.00 and arrives in Rome at 14.30. In Rome the bus leaves from Tiburtina Bus Terminal ,whilst in Tropea the bus leaves from Piazzale Pineta, that is situated in front of the port.

  • Lamezia Terme Airport – Tropea

Lamezia Terme airport is situated 60 km from Tropea. In order to arrive to Tropea from the Lamezia Terme airport it is better to take a train from the train station of Lamezia Terme. The average journey time is one hour. The ticket costs from 4,20 EUR. You can check the timetable from the official website of Trenitalia.

To reach Lamezia Terme station from the airport it is possible to take a shuttle bus. It takes only 5 minutes to get there. You can check the timetable here  (2016): Lamezia Terme airport – Lamezia Terme train station

  • Reggio Calabria Airport – Tropea

Reggio Calabria airport is situated 120 km from Tropea.  In order to reach Tropea it is better to take a train from Reggio Calabria train station. The average journey time is 2 hours. The ticket costs from 7 EUR. You can check the timetable on the official website of Trenitalia. The train Sation in Reggio Calabria is situated on Piazza Garibaldi.

Mestre Venice bus connections

In order to reach Venice from Mestre with the public transport you can use train or bus. It is said that the most convenient way is to take a train. From Mestre to Venice leave direct trains, the average journey time is just 10 minutes. The tickets cost 1,25 EUR. The tickets can be bought in the ticket vending machines at the train station, in tabaccherie or in kiosk.

Mestre is also well connected with Venice by buses of the ACTV company. All buses stop in Venice at Piazzale Roma, that is situated near Venice train station Santa Lucia. The average journey time is 15-30 minutes depending on where you take a bus in Mestre.

  • Baltour

The bus company Baltour offers daily connection between Rome and Naples. There are two different lines. The average journey time is 3 hours. In Rome the bus leaves from Tiburtina bus terminal. In Naples the bus leaves and arrives to Corso Lucci – Metropark that is situated near the central train station of Naples on piazza Garibaldi. The avergae journey time is 3 hours. The cost is  12-15 EUR.

Flixbus offers daily connection between Rome and Naples. In Rome the bus arrives and leaves from  Tiburtina bus terminal.   In Naples the bus arrives and leaves from Corso Lucci – Metropark,that is situated near the central train station of Naples on piazza Garibaldi.  The average journey time is 3 hours. Gardaland: how to get there from Veneto

There are several bus companies that provide connections between towns of Veneto and Gardaland.

  • Asiago – Gardaland

The bus Giradi offers the connection between Gardaland and Asiago only on Wednesday and Sunday. Bus leaves every Wednesday from 01.06.2016 till 14.09.2016. Bus also leaves every Sunday from 8.04.2016 till 30.10.2016.

Please note that it is necessary to book the tickets online. The departure is guaranteed only if there are at least 25 people.

The bus has two lines: Line A and Line B. Both of them strats from Asiago  but then the bus stops in different places.  The average jouney time is 3 hours. The price on Wednesday is 39 EUR, on Friday – 42 EUR.  Please note that the price includes the entrance to the park.

  • Vicenza  – Gardaland

SVT Bristol offers connections between Vicenza and Gardaland. The bus leaves every Tuesday, Friday and Sunday from 03.06.2016 to 30. 09.16. The departure is guaranteed. The price is 39,50 EUR that includes the entrance to Gardaland.

  • Belluno – Gardaland

The bus company  Garbin Viaggi offers the connection between Gardaland and Belluno on Tuesday and Friday.

On Tuesday the bus offers the connection on 14-28 June, 5-19 July and on 2-9-16-23-30 August.

On Friday the bus offers the connection on 24 June, 1-15-29 July and  5-12-19-26 August.

The depature is guaranteed only if there are at least 15 passangers. Therefore it is required to book the tickets either online on the official website of Garbin Viaggir or by calling the company. You’ll find the contacts on tthe timetable listed below.

  • Treviso – Gardaland

The bus  Bonaventura offers connection between Treviso and Gardaland on Saturday and on Friday. The depature is guaranteed only if there are at least 30 people. The tickets have to be booked at least 3 days in advance.

On Saturday the bus offers such connection from 25.06.16 till 10.09.16 (time 10.30 a.m.-01.30 a.m.)

On Friday the bus offers such connection from 10.06.16 till 26.08.16 (time 07.30 a.m.-20.30p.m.)

There are extra buses on the following dates:

–  11/19 Giugno

– 10/24 Luglio

– 14/15/21 Agosto

– 04 Settembre

(timetable is 07.30 a.m.-20.30p.m.)

The two way tickets cost € 42,50 (the entrance to the park is included). Tickets for children lower than 1 meter cost € 12.

  • Verona – Gardaland

The bus company ATV offers connection between Verona and Gardaland every day

The bus number 176 leaves from Verona from piazza Brà  and from the train station of Verona. The average journey time is one hour.

The special price is 34,50 EUR that includes the entrance to the park. It is possible to buy the tickets at the ticket offices of ATV on the train station Porta Nuova, on the piazza Renato Simoni and in Viale dei Tigli, Legnago.

  • Venezia – Gardaland

The bus company Brusutti offers the connection between Venezia and Gardaland on Friday and Saturday from 01.04.16 till 02.10.16. It also offers the night connection (return) on Saturday from 01.07.16 to 31.08.16.
The ticket for adults costs 45 EUR.  The average journey time is 2 hours. The departure can be guaranteed only if there are at least 20 people.

Ravenna: how to get there

Ravenna is situated in the Italian region Emilia – Romagna. It attracts tourists throughout the world thanks to its both architectural heritage and beaches. Also near Ravenna is situated one of the biggest amusement park of Italy Mirabilandia.

There are several buses that connect Ravenna with other Italian cities.

  • Fiumicino airport – Rome — Ravenna

Buses of the Sulga company provides the connection between Fiumicino airport, Rome and Ravenna every day. At the airport buses leave from Terminal 3, zone of international arrivals whilst in Rome the bus stops near the Tiburtina train station. 

In Rovenna buses leave from Piazzale Aldo Moro, that is situated not far from the train station of Ravenna near the Candiano Channel .

The average journey time is 7 hours. The price depends on where you take a bus. If you take a bus from Tiburtina to Ravenna the price will be € 27,50 for one way ticket and € 45 for two ways ticket.  From Fiumicino airport to Ravenna the price will be  € 32,50  for one way ticket and € 55 for two ways ticket.

  • Milano — Ravenna (beaches)

The bus company Autostradale connects Milan and Ravenna only during the summer that is from 02 /07 till 04/09/20 16.  The buses leave only on Saturday and Sunday. The price of the ticket depends on the final destination. The average journey time is 6 hours. In Milan to Ravenna buses leave from the bus terminal Lampugnano, that is situated near the same named metro station. In Ravenna, in its turn, buses stop in the area Lidi Sud, that is situated 9 km from Ravenna city, on the beaches of Marina di Ravenna, Lido Adriano and Punta Marina

The bus company Flixbus  offers line 423 Turin-Ravenna-Turin every day. The bus leaves from Turin to Ravenna 2 times per day: at  07:35 and at  16:00. From Ravenna to Turin the bus leaves at 6.30 and at  16.20. The average journey time is 7 hours 35 minutes. In Ravenna buses stop near Pala De Andrè, on the Trieste street 180. In Turin buses stop on Vittorio Emanuele street.

From Turin to Ravenna buses make the following stops:

Bologna (Bust Terminal)
Modena (Bus Terminal, Gottardi street)
Milan (bus stop Lampugnano)

Bus company Flixbus offers line 551 Ancona – Ravenna- Ancona every day. In Ravenna buses stop near Pala De Andrè, on Trieste street 180. Buses also make a stop on Via Fada, Centro Studi.  In Ancona buses stop on the train station of Ancona.

Buses leave from Ancona to Ravenna at 7 a.m. from Monday to Saturday. On Sunday buses leave at 4 p.m. From Ravenna to Ancona Из Равенны в buses leave at 12.05 from Monday to Saturday. On Sunday buses leave at 20.05.  The average journey time is 2 hours 50 min. Tickets can be bought on the official website of Flixbus. Prices start from 1 EUR.

The company Start Romagna offers the line 156  Ravenna – Forli every day. In Ravenna buses  stop on Piazzale Aldo Moro, that is situated close to the train station of Ravenna on Carducci street and on Caduti square. In Forli buses stop near the train station of the city.
