    Hello!
I intend to go around amalfi coast from Sorrento to Amalfi, from there to Ravello and from there to Positano and back to Sorrento in the same day. I know it is a bit fast but I know people who have done it. I thought on buying the Unico Costiera 24 but I have a doubt. Is it ok to use it to ride on all SITA buses and circumvesuvian trains for free? I was a bit confused on the Amalfi Line information. Does it mean we have only one ride for free on the circumvesuvian train or is it about a tourist line? Im really a bit confused.

    • Monica Post author

    Hola Monica:

    Muchas gracias

My wife and I plan to visit Italy in May. Can I take two medium size luggage pieces with us on the Sitabus from Salerno to Sorrento?

    • Monica Post author

      Hi, Bob.
      From Sita transport conditions:
“The traveler is entitled to free transport unguarded of the baggage not exceeding the measures cm. 50x30x25. The traveler can keep the baggage with him where it can be placed without cluttering or disturb other travelers. In all other cases, it is required to purchase a ticket for each bag. The baggage exceeding these limits will be placed in the trunk by the traveler. The Company disclaims any responsibility for any theft, tampering, loss or deterioration of luggage. The luggage is not insured and travels at the risk of the passenger. The Company is not liable for the luggage left on their buses.”

      Hi, Naresa.
      What you need is here:

You have to purchase a ticket for each bag that exceeds the size allowed.

  • Janez Benedek

    Hello,
today I forgot my hat and sunglasses on a bus in sorrento, when I was traveling from Amalfi. Can you please tell me where can I pick them up.
    Than you in advance.
    Janez

    • Marias

      Hello Janez,

You didn’t write the name of the company of the bus taken. I think it was Sita Sud. In this case what you can do is to call the information Office of the company: 344 1031070

      Good luck!

  • Wojciech Owczarz

    Hi,

Tomorrow my friends and I would like to go from Naples to Sorrento, Positano and Amalfi and back to Naples.

What’s the cheapest way to do it? Which tickets we are suppose to buy? (We all are Erasmus students)

    • Marias

      Hi Wojciech,

From Naples to Sorrento you can take the Circumvesuviana train. Circumvesuviana trains leave daily from Naples Central train station. Trains to Sorrento leave every 30 minutes. Average journey time is one hour. Sorrento will be the last stop so you won’t miss it. The tickets cost 4.50 EURO. You can buy them on the Naple train station.
You can check the timetable here: https://www.sitabus.it/en/naples-sorrento-bus-timetable/

Then from Sorrento you can take SitaSud bus to go to Amalfi. It passes through Positano. Average journey time to Positano is 40-50 minutes. More detailed information and timetable you can find here: https://www.sitabus.it/en/naples-sorrento-bus-timetable/
*In the timetable you need to search for Amalfi – Positano – Sorrento direction.

For Sita Sud buses you can use integrated tariffs (Ticket Integrato Campania/TIC). Usually from Sorrento to Amalfi you can use TIC for one way trip for 3.40 EURO. More information about Tariff systems you can read here: https://www.sitabus.it/en/tic-ticket-integrato-campania-eng/
Prices for the tickets you can calculate here https://www.sitabus.it/en/tic-ticket-integrato-campania-tariff/.

You can buy tickets from Circumvesuviana ticket offices, automatic ticket machines and in authorized sales points such as bars, tabaccheria, kiosks.

      Have a nice journey!

  • Chitra Swaminathan

    Hi,

Where can we buy the unico costeria card ?

Also is the Metropolitano train from VertiSulMare to Pompeii available everyday. If yes please provide the schedule for the same.
    Thanks

    • Monica Post author

      Hi, Chitra.
The travel tickets can be purchased at retail UnicoCampania points (bars, tobacconists, newsagents, hotels), in SitaSud point, EAV (Circumvesuviana) and from vending machines.

Trenitalia provides the Vietri sul mare – Pompei line. You can find timetable on Trenitalia site. There are trains every day.
      Tic info

      • Chitra Swaminathan

Thanks Monica. Do they have english version of brochure.
Can you confirm the weekly ticket rates.

Also for the Metropolitano trains when I searched looks like this line is not operation between June 19th to July 20th.
        Any idea why?
        Thanks

        • Monica Post author

No, there isn’t an english version of the brochure.
Weekly ticket is not available for Vietri sul mare – Pompei. (Search engine)

I can understand your problem about train. On trenitalia site, always there are trains from Vietri to Pompeii.

  • Irina O

    Hello, Monica, please help.

we are arriving at the Napoli Airport, staying 7 days in Salerno and wanting to visit the Amalfi Coast (Amalfi, Ravello, Maiori, Positano, Sorrento) and also Pompei, Capri and Ischia, each day a new trip.

Please suggest the best transportation plan.
(For the airport, we do not arrive within the SITA Napoli-Salerno timetable, so we’re thinking about an Alibus to Garibaldi & train).
    Thanks.

    Hi!

My fiancé and I want to experience the Amalfi coast and the surroundings. We will have our base in Naples but want to see places such as Sorrento, Salerno, Capri, Amalfi, Pompei, etc. We will be there the 15th-20th of July.

What kind of tickets do you recommend us to buy? And where can we buy them? Do we have to book them in advance to be sure to get some, or can we do it the same day that we want to travel? And how do we get to Capris the best way?

What are the approximate prices for the tickets?

We are both students in Sweden, does that give us any advantages?

    Best wishes,
    Teresa

    • Monica Post author

      I, Teresa.
I suggest you to buy ArteCard Campania. You can travel on the UNICOCAMPANIA public transport system throughout the Campania region and you can have special discounts and benefits about museum, monuments, theaters and archaeological sites. “Artecard – Tutta la regione” is a valid ticket in the Unicocostiera system (now TIC)
      Standard 3 days € 32.00
      Standard 7 days € 34.00
      Young Person 18-25 € 25.00.

You can buy it from the major museums and archaeological sites on the circuit, from the campania>artecard information point at Naples Central Station and on their web site.

Here information about Capri: How to reach Capri

      Have a nice journey

    Hi Monica,

My wife and I will be in Sorrento during October. Our itinerary is given below.

Day 0: Arrive in Sorrento from Rome via MAROZZI bus at 1700 hrs.
Day 1: Sorrento to Vietri Sul Mare (Ceramica Artistica) and back.
Day 2: Sorrento to Ravello with stops in Positano & Amalfi. Back to Sorrento
Day 3: Sorrento to Herculaneum. Then Herculaneum to Naples. Back to Sorrento from Naples
Day 4: Sorrento to Isle of Capri. Back to Sorrento

Could you please tell us which ticket we should buy? The days can be changed. For example, we can visit Capri on Day 3 if it is cheaper from a ticket perspective.

    Thanks in advance!
    Luke
    Canada.

    • Marias

      Ciao Luke,

In Campania there are special tariffs that are called TIC – Ticket Integrato Campania. Here you can check detailed information about tariffs: https://www.sitabus.it/en/tic-ticket-integrato-campania-eng/
Here you can search online for the tariff :https://www.sitabus.it/en/tic-ticket-integrato-campania-tariff/

In Sorrento, if you don’t pass Naples, you can buy TIC AC 5. Tickets for 120 min from the their validation cost 3,90 euro. If you pass Naples, tickets will cost a bit more: 4,50 euro.

Unfortunately, for Capri there are no special tariffs.

If you are looking for longer tariffs, there is one day ticket and one week tickets for urban and extra urban transportation but in Salerno(3,90 EUR and 13,70 EUR respectively). There is also one day ticket and one week tickets for Naples for the price of 4,50 EUR and 15,80 EUR.

  • luke174

    Thank you, Marias. Much appreciated!

I went through the brochures/links that you provided but couldn’t clarify the following

For the Sorrento to Amalfi and return trip, can we use the Costiera Sita Sud 24 hour ticket for EUR 6.80?

For Sorrento Herculaneum Naples (city) Sorrento trip (same day) – Is there an all-day Circumvesuviana train ticket that we can buy?

    Regards,
    Luke

  • Rciao1234

When I buy a Unico Costiera Sita 3-day pass, is it valid for 72 hours from when I buy it OR is it 3 days including the day I purchase? Thanks.

  • Jovana Ciric

Hi! Since there haven’t been new comments since last year, i wanted to check is unico costiera sita tariff still active? We would like to use the 3-day card — if it is still available, where can it be purchased in salerno, and where is the bus stop (from what i understood it should be in front of central train station)? Thanks in advance!
    Jovana

    • sita_admin

The tariff changed a bit for the Unicocostiera ticket sistem, here the last ones as for July 2017:
      – 45 minutes € 2.50;
      – 90 minutes € 3.80;
      – 24 hours € 7.60;
      – 3 days € 18.00.

Also for Sorrento you can get a one way ticket ( 1,00 euro) to travel from Port to Tasso Square or vice versa with Eav bus service. The stop still in front of the central station but I will suggest you to double check with the agent that will sell you the tickets. 🙂

  • Paulina Gri

Hello, I want ask you, what kind of a bus ticket I should buy, when I and my friend arrive in Neapoly Airport and we should to go to Sorrento. We will be in there 5 days. When we will be in Sorrento we should go to Amalfi, Pompeja,Positano and Capri. And the last trip from Sorrento to Neapolis. In Neapoly we will be 2days.

  • Gustaf Floderus

    Hi Sita_admin,

I lost a bag on a bus yesterday and I heard from an other passenger that the busdriver took care of it. Where can I call to clear out how to get it back again?

    Best regards
    Gustaf

      • Gustaf Floderus

Dear admin, I have called the numbers and mailed the addresses you mentioned. I have never experienced a less motivated stuff for helping me. The mainproblem is probably that no one want to speak English. I’m on the train right now to rome and will fly to Sweden tomorrow. We had a great trip but this story gaves it a dark shadow. My bag is lost and so are the good memories of the trip. Gustaf

  • Paweł Szukiel

    Hello
In a week I’m going to Naples.
I would like to go on a trip with my family from Naples to Agerola (Bomerano) by bus SITABUS, then Sentiero degli Dei to Positano. From there, take a bus to Sorrento and finally return by train to Naples
The next day we plan a trip to Mount Vesuvius and to Pomepia. Is there a 3-day ticket that will cover all these rides?

    Regards, Paweł

  • pachen

The Sita Sud website offer two 24 hour tickets. One for 10 EUR and the other for 12 EUR. where do you get the information that the 24 hour ticket is 7.60 EUR? can you post website link?

  • Ronnie Lo

I am planning to go to Amalfi Coast and Pompeii for 3 days and learned about this Unicorn Costiera Sita 3 day ticket. Does it include all Circumvesuviana stations from Sorrento to Napoli via Pompeii Scavi and EAV bus from Pompeii to Mt. Vesuvius? Thanks.

    • sita_admin

Yes, you will be able to use all the transports you mentioned. We also suggest to ask the driver when boarding to avoid issues. Regards.

    • sita_admin

Hi Hitomi, you can buy from the tobacconist or some Bars. It depends where you will be. Evaluate also Artecard if you are planning to visit any museum or site listed.

      • HITOMI UEDA

        • sita_admin

Yes, the Unico Costiera 24 ticket will cover all the rides for 24 hours. Most of the buses and some local train in the Campania region can be access with Unico.

  • HITOMI UEDA

The Unico system has been updated and the tariffs and type of transports you can take have changed. From Sorrento to Positano you can use the AC2 tariff that costs you 2 Euros.

  • Miguel Canizares

Hello. I´d like to take several buses in Amalfi Coast, getting up and down as many times as I want. How could I buy a three day ticket (or more days) and how much does it cost? Thanks a lot.
    Miguel

  • Sharon

    Hi,

I am having trouble finding the correct information. Please help!

    a) Would you please clarify what your bus ticket prices are when taking your buses along the Amalfi coast? For example, going from Salerno to Sorrento?

    b) Is it possible to buy 3 day Sita bus passes for the Amalfi coast? if yes, what is the price for adults?

    c) What is the cost for 3 day passes for seniors (age 70+)?

    d) Is it possible to buy 3 day bus passes on your Sita website?

    Thank you,
    Sharon

    • sita_admin

Dear Sharon, the Unico has been discontinued now you should use the Tic TIC – Ticket Integrato Campania – Tariff. At the moment it is not possible to buy the pass online but you should go to the re-seller (Tobacconist / Newsstands / Bar). I would advice to ask them for the best ticket you can get once you have a clear idea of your trip. Regards.

  • Neus

2 hours waiting a bus to return from positano to sorrento and all buses are full of people. At summer you have to put a bus every 10 minutes. Finally, que have to take a taxi with other 4 people.

  • Angel

Hola. Gracias.
