We are now in Firenze en we would like to visit Siena, San Gimignano and Monteriggioni. Is it possible to visit the three places in one day using the public transport (bus) or another relatively cheap way( maybe car rental?) Or are those 3 to much for one day? Which would you recommend ? Where can you find a good timetable of all public transport and a schedule of where they stop?

I do not recommend a one day trip for all destinations. To reach San Gimignano and Monteriggioni you will have to change bus in Poggibonsi, from the same place where you will arrive.For timetables, next links and attach.
