Padova is situated in Veneto. Padova is well known for its Prato della Valle, la Basilica di Sant’Antonio, University of Padova, that is one of the oldest universities in the world and many other things.  Padova is well connected with Venice airports, Venice city center and other Italian cities, so it is not difficult to reach it.

  • Venice Airport Marco Polo di Tessera  – Padova

Venice Airport Marco Polo is situated rather close to Padova. Line FSBusitalia operated by Busitalia Veneto offers connections between Venice Airport and Padova. A bus also stops in Venice  (P.le Roma). The bus terminal in Padova is situated near the train station. Average journey time is one hour. One way tickets cost 2,40 €, if you buy tickets on the bus, they will cost more.

Line FSBusitalia operated by Busitalia Veneto offers connections between Treviso Airport and Padova every day. At the airport the bus leaves from Noalese street, that is situated on the right from the Airport exit, whilst in Padova the bus terminal is situated near the train station. Average journey time is 1 hour. One way tickets cost  2,40 €. Tickets can be bought in the ticket offices in Treviso Airport at the arrival zone or on the bus (with some extra charges).

1. As was mentioned before, line FSBusitalia operated by  Busitalia Veneto offers connections between Venice and Padova every day. Tickets cost around 2,40 €.

2. Line 53E di ACTV connects Vencie with Padova every day. Average journey time is one hour. In Padova the bus terminal is situated near the train station, whilst in Venice in  Piazzale Roma, bus lane B6. Ferrara: how to get there

Ferrara is situated in the Emilia-Romagna region. Ferrara is well connected by buses and trains. It is situated 45 km from Bologna and 110 km from Venice. Airports that are close to Ferrara are: Bologna airport and Venice Marco Polo airport.

  • Bologna airport – Ferrara

There are two options to get to Ferrara from Bologna.

1. To take direct buses Bus&Fly. Buses Bus & Fly connects Bologna airport with Ferrara in one hour. Buses run 8 times per day, making 3 bus stops in Ferrara: at the shopping center, train station and in viale Cavour (city center). One way ticket costs 15 EUR. Tickets can be bought on the bus.

2. The second option is to first arrive to the train station of Bologna and then take a train to Ferrara. To arrive to the train station of Bologna from the airport you need to take Aerobus. For more infromation: : Bologna airport: connections

Then you should take a train to Ferrara. (around 30 minutes)

  • Venice airport Marco Polo  – Ferrara

Venice airport is situated futher from Bologna airport (110 km from Ferrara). There are no direct connections. At first, you should reach Mestre train station. For more information: Venice airport Marco Polo: connections.

Then you should take a train to get to Ferrara (around 60 minutes)

  • Bologna – Ferrara

TPER (Trasporto Passeggeri Emilia-Romagna) offers connections between Bologna and Ferrara. Line 356 connects two cities. Tickets can be bought on the bus (with extra charges) or in the tickets selling points. In Ferrara the bus terminal is in Corso Isonzo, whilsts in Bologna at the Piazza XX Settembre, 6.

  • Venice  – Ferrara

Flixbus offers daily connections between Vencie and Ferrara. Tickets cost from 5 EUR, full price -19 EUR. In Venice the bus terminal is in Venice Mestre train station, viale stazione 16. In Ferrara – at the square near the train station. The bus also stops in Padova (parking Piazzale Boschetti).

Timetable:

From Ferrara a bus leaves at 07.55 and arrives to Venice Mestre Station at 10.00. At the same time a bus leaves from Venice Mestre Station at 20.35 and arrives in Ferrara at 22.40.*

  • Modena – Ferrara

TPER also connects Modena and Ferrara. Lines 550, 551, 552 connect two cities every day. Average journey time is 2 hours.

  • By train

Train station in Ferrara is situated 20 minutes from the city center so it can be reached on foot or by bus. Please note that because of some work in progress at the train station from 08.08 to 21.08.16, some trains from Bologna would be replaced by bus. How to get to Grado

Grado is situated in the north-east of Italy in the region of Friuli-Venezia Giulia. It is adjacent peninsula of the Adriatic Sea between Venice and Trieste. Grado is called “Isola del Sole” that is ‘Sun Island’ and is well known for its spectaculous beaches. Enough to say that in 2016 its beaches have been awarded Blue Flag Award that recognises the cleanliness of water and beaches as well as good beach infrastructure. Beside this, Grado offers a beautiful city center, lagoonal landscape, terme di Marine di Grado and so on.

Grado is well connected by the public trasport by both extraurban and urban bus  services. However, if you want to reach Grado by train, please note that there is no train station in Grado itself. The nearest train stations are: Cervignano del Friuli (16 Km) and Udine train stations (45 Km). They are connected with Grado with numerous buses.

  • Friuli Venezia Giulia Trieste Ronchi dei Legionari airport – Grado

Trieste airport is situated 18 km from Grado. APT Gorizia offers daily connections between the airport and Grado. There are two lines: line E 01 and  line E 26. One way ticket costs around € 2.70. Tickets can be bought at the airport at the arriving zone.

  • Marco Polo Airport of Venice – Grado

Aiport of Venice is situated 120 Km from Grado. Unfortunately, there are no direct bus connections. First, you need to arrive to the train station of Mestre, using buses of the ATVO bus company. For more information please look here: Venice Marco Polo airport: bus connections.

Then you should take a train that goes to Cervignano del Friuli train station. From there leave many buses that connect directly with Grado. The average journey time is 20 min.

The bus company Saf offers direct connections between Udine and Grado. The average journey time is one hour. Tickets can be bought in the vending ticket machines, in ticket selling points such as ticket offices, bars, tobacconists or on the bus (with extra charges). APT line E 21 offers connections between Trieste and Grado. In Grado the bus arrives and leaves from the bus terminal in P.zza Carpaccio whilst in Trieste the bus leaves and arrives to the bus terminal  in P.zza Libertà. The average journey time is one hour and a half. .

Also APT offers Marittima Grado-Trieste line from the first of June till the 31st of August that connects Grado (molo Torpediniere) with Trieste (molo Audace). You can buy tickets on the ferry.  One way ticket costs 7 EUR.  The average journey time is one hour and a half. In case of bad weather, buse service will be active.

APT also offers urban connections in  Grado. During the summer the line 37 offers everyday connections every 30 minutes from 6.30 to 19.30.

What is more, turists have an option to use Trenino di Grado that leaves from the bus terminal. Tickets cost 1,25 EUR if they are bought from ticket offices of APT at the bus terminal on P.zza Carpaccio or they cost 2 EUR if they are bought on board. There are two lines, each lasts around 15 minutes.

How to get to Jesolo

Jesolo  is a popular seaside resort in the Veneto, north of Venice. With its ten-mile long beach, beautiful sea, night life and shops Jesolo is a very attractive place to spend holidays. The bus company ATVO offers numerous connections with Lido di Jesolo (lido means seaside). In this article we are going to see how to get to Jesolo on bus from Marco Polo airport, Treviso airport, Venice and Mestre. We are also going to look at urban bus service in Jesolo.

L’ATVO offers everyday connections between Marco Polo airport and Lido di Jesolo. There are an express bus and a bus with sea connections that operates only during the summer period.

1. Express buses run 4 times per day. The average journey timr is 30 minutes.

Buses number 10A  of the ATVO bus company offers direct connections between Marco Polo airport and Lido di Jesolo. Bus also stops in Venice and in Mestre. The average journey time is 30 minutes.

The bus company ATVO offers connections (bus 29) between Venice and  Jesolo. Buses make numerous stops along the way, including the stop in Marco Polo airport. In Venice the bus stops in Piazzale Roma, whilst in Mestre the bus stops near the train station.

Vaporetto
Vaporetto, that is Venice waterbuses, belong to Alilaguna company. They are situated in the docks near the airport. When you leave the arrival zone, turn left and go under the roofed shelter for around 7 min until you see the docks.

Vaporetto stоp in Venice at San Marco, Rialto, Fondamenta Nuove, Le Guglie.
Journey time is rather long: F. Nove (38 min), Lido (58 min), San Marco (1 hour and 12 min), Rialto (57 min), Guglie (42 min)

ACTV bus
Urban buses 15 and 45 that belong to the ACTV company connect Venice airport with the train station of Mestre. The bus also goes through Trento.
