    Hello!
I am going to travel by bus from Positano to Agerola. I’ll have to start my trip from 14:00 to 15:00 on the 3rd of May 2015. As that would be the first time I visit this area could you please tell me:
    1. Will I have to make a change on my way from Positano to Agerola?
    2. What time do the bus departs from Positano (and from another point, if the change is required)?
    3. How much will it cost me to make such a trip?
Thank you very much in advance!

      Hi DarkAngel88.
To travel by bus from Positano to Agerola you have to change bus in Amalfi:
      5070 Positano-Amalfi
      5080 Amalfi-Agerola

You need the ticket TIC (here more information) or a corporate ticket.
About the costs you can use the search engine to find the tic rate: TIC

      Have a nice journey.

    Hi,

I’m looking for the time schedule for the bus line between Sorrento and Amalfi (5070?). The link on this page seems to be outdated, since the referenced time table only was valid up until 07/06/2015.

Can you help me find a time table that is valid today?

    Kind regards,
    Oliver

Hello – I am looking at how hard it will be to travel from Conca dei Marini to ristorante Donna Rosa. Can you suggest the best SITA bus stop to use? Is there a stop higher up the hill, to reduce the climbing?

Thank you for any advice on this,
    Cameron

      • cameron

Hi Monica – thank you for replying! Since that post I learned that there is a community bus which will leave Sponda or Nuovo stops to travel up to Montepertuso (where the restaurant is), but since we are staying in Conca dei Marini the amoun of travel involved is too much for just a short visit, so we have decided against it for this trip. Maybe next time!

    • Monica Post author

      Hi, Kristina.
5070 is what you need: Amalfi Sorrento
Grotta Smeraldo is in Conca de Marini.

      Have a nice journey.

    Hi Monica,

We have a train from Naples to Siena leaving at 12:00HRS on a Sunday.

We need to get from Positano to the Naples train station before 12:00HRS. Will it be possible to take the Sita to Sorrento and then take circumvesuviana to Naples and arrive in time? I am having some troubles reading the time tables for both.

    Cheers,

    Kerry

    • Monica Post author

      Hi, Kerry.
You way is the best way.
About sita timetables on Sunday you have to check G (= giornaliere = daily) and H (= holiday).
About circumvesuviana timetables you have to check all times except “FER” (= feriale = weekday). -> Naples Sorrento Circumvesuviana

According to me, starting from Positano before 8am you should do.

    Hello Monica,

What are the possibilities to go to Rome from Amalfi on a weekday.
I understand the most appropriate route is via Sorrento and by train.
Where can I find timetables from:
    1. Amalfi to Sorrento
    2. Sorrento to Rome

    Thanks!
    Kind Regards,
    –Svetlana

Hi, I am taking the SITA bus from Venice to Padova.
Now not sure if its bus 100 or 101 i need to take.
What is the name of the bus stop please?

    • Marias

      Hi Shakyra,

To go to Padova from Venice you need to take a bus number 53E of the bus company ACTV. Here are the bus stops that make the bus:
Venezia (Piazzale Roma, corsia B6) – via della Libertà (S. Chiara), (Righi), (Staz. p.to Marghera), (Fincantieri) – Piazza 27 Ottobre – via Carducci (Telecom) – via F.lli Bandiera (Cruto) – Oriago via Venezia (rist. Vettore), (Centro), (Stazione FS) – Mira via Nazionale (sup.to Mirasole) – Dolo via Mazzini (Centro) – Stra P.zza Marconi – Padova San Marco (Ponte di Brenta), (bivio Noventa) – Padova via Venezia (Stanga).

So in Venice the bus stop is Piazzale Roma. Here you can check the timetable: https://www.sitabus.it/e-53-venezia-padova/

    Hello!!

I’m having trouble reading the schedule, could you help me??

I’ll be arriving Positano on June 14 (Thursday), around 18.30pm. Afterwards, I need to get to Hotel Villa Bellavista – Via Rezzola, 47, 84010 Praiano.
So, i need to catch the SitaSud 5070 Sorrento-Positano-Amalfi, right??

The trouble is, I only see on the schedule those two stops – Positano and Praiano. Are there any other stops in between those two? If so, what stop should I get off? Is it Caprigliano?

    Thanks in advance!

How do I pre-purchase tickets to travel on the SITABUS from Praiano to Sorrento on Monday 3rd Sept? The bus driver indicated we needed tickets to board in Praiano and I have been unsuccessful in navigating to a ticket purchase option on your website. Thanks

Hi, I would like to take the 7:40am bus from Sorrento to Amalfi. It says it is on school days. What days are considered school days? Also can everyone take that bus?

    • sita_admin

Hi Ian, school days are from Monday to Friday and when the School are open. That means that from the beginning of June till September (and other holidays) the bus is not running. When it is running you can take the bus.

    Hello,

I recently came back from a trip in the Almalfi coast and realized that I could not find a sports jacket (suit jacket, blazer) I bought in Positano. I had it while in the town of Almalfi so I must have lost it while travelling on the bus from Ravello to Almalfi. The bag is white and blue and contains a linen striped blue blazer. The company that made it is Pepito’s. I was on the 14:00 bus from Ravello to Almalfi on Sunday the 25th of August.

    Thank you for your time,

  • A.

    Dear Sir and Madam,

I am very disappointed by your colleague’s work at Sorrento main station (in front of it).

Today we wanted to travel from Sorrento to Positano. We were told by your colleague (see the attached picture) that the ticket costs 3€ per Person.
After paying 6€ for the both of us, we saw the ticket price of 2,90€ on the ticket and asked for the change, which he was not willing to give us at the beginning.
Standing in line, we met other travelers that wanted to do the same journey but paid only 2€ per Person (they bought their tickets in the shop inside the main station).
When I confronted the man we bought the tickets from, he acted as if he hadn’t understood where we wanted to go (although we repeated the name of the city several times and also asked him for advice depending our stay there AND he repeated the name also!). He finally gave us back the money we paid too much and changed the tickets.

We really hope that this doesn’t happen very often or even on purpose. His English was very good and there is no way he could have misunderstood.

I hope to get some feedback from you!

    Thank you in advance,
    A.

    • sita_admin

Dear A., please note that the price of the ticket onboard it is different from the one in the shop. This is to avoid queue while boarding.
Anyway what happened to you it is regretful and should not happen again. You deserved respect and your change.

Unfortunately this is not the right place for a formal complain. I would suggest you to contact:
      SEDE REGIONALE DELLA CAMPANIA
      Via G.Pastore, 28/30 – 84131 Salerno
      Tel: 089 3866701 – Fax: 089 3856494
      Ufficio Informazioni Tel: 342 6256442
      Info: [email protected]

I will leave your comment so people are aware of the rough behavior of some drivers and plan ahead.

      Regards.

    Hello,

I am unable to view or download the latest timetable for Sorrento > Positano.

Can you please confirm what time the last bus to Positano is from Sorrento?

I will be arriving in Naples on 24th July at 5pm and need to find a way to Positano.

    Thank you

I wanted to write about the efficiency of the SITA SUD staff with regards to my lost item on the bus. A week back, when we got off at Amalfi coast from Positano, my son had left a red bag with 2 expensive shirts (gifts for him and my husband from me!) on the floor of the bus (where he was sitting) and realized much later after we got off, that the bag was left in the bus! The main staff at the Amalfi bus stop was very helpful and helped us track the bag, since the bus had left by then! He managed to track it for us by speaking to the respective driver, and told us to come and collect it at the Ticket Office in Sorrento the next morning. Sure enough, my husband and son were there and the red bag with the 2 shirts was at the Ticket Office as promised! I was so happy and impressed by the honesty and efficiency of the way the Sita Sud staff handled this situation. Thank you once again for your amazing service! We totally enjoyed the bus experience!
