    Hello,
I am going in a group of 4 people from Naples to Amalfi on August 20th (Wednesday). As I understand I should get the bus on Varco Immacolatella near the harbour, and it leaves at 9:00 according to the timetable.
Is there any chance the bus get crowded and we won’t be able to catch it? At what time should we be in Varco Immacolatella to buy the tickets and guarantee our seats?

    • Monica Post author

      Hi, davipedrosa.
The ticket doesn’t guarantee you a seat. I suggest you get there as soon as possible.

    Dear Monica,
I am planning a 4-days tour around Naples in April and would like to ask your help:
Could you help me pls finding out which SITA bus numbers I may check if I would liket to get to Pompei from Naples?

Is there maybe a SITA bus service from Pompei regularly to Sorrento? Do you know what does it cost?

Secondly, I would liketo travel all along the Amalfi Coast from Sorrento, I have found some timetabées however I can’t find which is their exact bus number.
Could you pls let me know which are the SITA bus numbers from Sorrento to get to Positano, Praiano, then Amalfi and Ravello and Salerno at the end?

As I will be using the SITA buses on these days is it worth buying the “Unico Costiera” day ticket?

Would appreciate any help from you, thanks a lot, Chris

  • tampa123

    Hi Monica,

    Two questions
    1. Does 5020 also stop at Piazza Garibaldi?
    2. None of the 5080 time tables show a bus straight from Amalfi to Naples. How do we get to Naples Central train station on 5/2 from Amalfi? Thanks!

    • Monica Post author

      Hi, tampa123.
      1. There is a bus stop in Via Galileo Ferraris.
      2. 5020 has straight bus. About 5080 you have to change bus during the travel.

      Have a nice journey.

    Hi, Monica

I plan to go to Ravello from Naple airport on 28th June with my friends. Can we make an online reservation for the bus ticket? I believe that it is the Sita bus line but I could not find where to book. We are so worried about it because we have to prepare the information for visa application.

    Thank you,

  • Maria Andreeva

Hi, we are going to visit Naples at October 18th 2016 and want to make a one day trip to Amalfi coast. Our Cruise ship arrives just opposite the SITABUS bus stop. I chose the line 5020, because it runs along the highway А3 until Vietri Sul Mare and then proceeds to Amalfi on SS163. I don’t want to take the line through SS366 or SP2b/SP1 because there the road has many curves. According to schedule bus 5020 departs from Naples at 9 AM and arrives in Amalfi at 11 AM. It sounds wonderful, but I did not find the schedule for returning the same day on the afternoon from Amalfi to Napoli!?? For example, to return to Naples at 17:00!
    Would you help me please?
    Thanks!
    Maria

  • Beji

    Hello,

For the 5080 bus from Naples to Amalfi,
Is there more than one stop in Napoli? If so, which are the stops?

For example, it states that it will depart from Napoli at 10:00. Which of the stop(s) in Napoli is this referring to and what time(s) can we expect for the other stop(s)?

    Thank you!

    • Marias

      Good morning,

Yes, the line 5080 operates every day, including Sundays. You just need to look at the timetable under the letter H (holidays and Sundays).

  • jaspar

    Hi Monica

I will be leaving Naples for Amalfi on 14 October 2016. I don’t quite understand the timetable labels for Bus 5020 and need your help. May I know the departure times from Varco Immacolatella on 14 October 2016?

    Thank you.

    • Marias

      Ciao Jaspar,

As 14th of October is Friday, you should look at the timetable under letters L (that means from Monday to Friday), L(3) (also from Monday to Friday but only from 1/1 to 31/7 and from 1/9 to 31/12) and F (working days).

      Have a nice trip!

  • fcolotto

Hi Monica, I’m planning my trip and I would like to know if I can buy 1 ticket to go from Sorrento to Positano, from Positano to Amalfi, and from Amalfi to Ravello; all this with one ticket but my idea is to use the same ticket in differents days (no longer than 3 days of difference).
If this is not possible, what could I do that looks like what I want to do?
    Wait for your answer, greetings.

    • Monica Post author

I suggest you to buy ArteCard Campania. You can travel on the UNICOCAMPANIA public transport system throughout the Campania region and you can have special discounts and benefits about museum, monuments, theaters and archaeological sites.

“Artecard – Tutta la regione” is a valid ticket in the Unicocostiera system (now TIC)
      Standard 3 days € 32.00
      Standard 7 days € 34.00
      Young Person 18-25 € 25.00.

You can buy it from the major museums and archaeological sites on the circuit, from the campania>artecard information point at Naples Central Station and on their web site.

And where can I buy a bus ticket?
I will buy a 24 hour ticket and go to Amalfi from Naples and then to Positano in Amalfi. Is it possible for 24 hours ticket?

  • Ashiq Patel

we want to take SITA bus 5020 from napoli to amalfi on 13th October 2017.Will the bus still leave at 9.00AM from Varco Immacotella.
where do I buy the tickets from – in advance?
Is the 5020 bus stop well signposted?
I will be staying at Hotel Mercure Angioino on Via Depretis – is the bus stop a walkable distance from there?

    • sita_admin

The buses do not run with a tight schedule so you may be waiting a while. We suggest to ask the receptionist to point out the bus stop. Do not expect a very efficient bus system. The ticket can be bought in “Tabaccheria” in advance. Here more details in case you need.

  • Yasmin Alcaraz

Hello, I’m going to go to Naples in June. I’d like to know if there is a bus from Naples to Amalfi, and if there is how much it cost, the schedule and where I can catch it. Thank you so much.

    • sita_admin

There is a bus from Naples to Amalfi and you can but a ticket UNICO costiera for 3 days you will pay 16 euros to travel around Campania unlimited.

About the timetable they are on the site, if you will need further and detailed assistance please post on the forum.

      Thank you!

      • Catharine Dee

        Hi
I’m in a bit of confusion whether to use the 3day Campania artecard or to use the 3day UNICO costiera ticket to travel between Naples and Amalfi. This clause * except for the Sita Sud lines for Sorrento / Positano / Amalfi (special tariffs) in http://www.campaniartecard.it/artecard/en/card/whole-region-3-days website, which i assume they charge a additional fee for using the card in the mentioned bus line.
Please see whether the below plan makes sense.

21 May (Monday) : Ravello and Amalfi Visit
Take 5020 from Naples (Varco Immacolatella) at 9am and travel to Amalfi
Again a bus to Ravello from Amalfi & Return to Amalfi in the Noon time
Since there are no direct buses from Amalfi to Naples in the evening, Take 5070 from Amalfi to Sorrento
Circumvesuviana train from Sorrento to Naples

22 May (Tuesday) : Path of Gods
Take 5080 from Naples (Via Depretis) and travel to Agerola (Bomerano)
After completing the trail at Positano, Take 5070 from Positano to Sorrento
Circumvesuviana train from Sorrento to Naples

        My questions,
        1. Which option should I use (Campania artecard or 3day UNICO costiera ticket)?
        2. Whats the bus number Ravello – Amalfi?
        3. What time does 5080 leave Naples?
        4. Any other better ways to visit these sites

        Thank you

        • sita_admin

Dear Catharine, your question is very detailed and we are not able to suggest what it could be personal choice and we can not take responsibility for your trip. As far as our knowledge goes here the answer (Please double check):

1- Artecard and Unico are equivalent for the use in transportation. They both are valid on the same transports providers in the Campania region on a flat fee.
2- Ravello Amalfi lines you can check here: https://www.sitabus.it/en/amalfi-ravello-bus-timetables/
3- Check the timetable for your stops
4- Rent a car would provide more flexibility and the ability to stop wherever you wish.

I hope it helps, good luck!

Hey there, me and my 3 friends will be arriving at Naples International Airport on 20/4/2019 (Saturday) around 12.30pm. We are hoping to take the bus straight to Amalfi Coast. Where can we get the bus tickets and what station should we stop in Amalfi? Thank you!

    Shandy

    • sita_admin

Hi Sandy, there is no direct bus from the Naples Airport to Amalfi as public transport but there are private companies that have direct buses but they run only in summer (April to November). You should first get to Naples city with Alibus and after take one of the bus mentioned on this article.

You can buy the tickets from tobacconist (Or just ask at the Bar in most cases), it would be advisable to get an Unico ticket to save on your transports.

I was waiting today for a stop in Naples from 9:30am to 11am on a bus to Bomerano, which unfortunately did not come. According to the schedule, he should arrive at 10 am. I waited at the stop on Via Galileo Ferraris (40° 51’01.5 “N, 14° 16’31.1” E). Could someone give information if this bus stop is correct, and if so why the bus he came? Thank you in advance.

I am trying to download the new Sita bus timetable for 5080 line on the rout Naples – Amalfi which is valid from April 1st, 2019, so you are kindly asked to tell me where I can find the same.

In addition, you are kindly asked to tell me where is the departure station of 5080 bus in Naples in direction to Amalfi. Is the terminus also the departure station or I need to catch the bus at the nearest bus station (and where it is).

Thank you in advance for your prompt response.

    Regards,

Bus schedule for 5080 shows no stops to Bomerano during day L(3) between January and June? Is this true? It’s very confusing.

  • Christine

Hello! I will be in Praiano from August 19th-25th 2019. I am looking to use Bus 5070 to visit the local towns (Ravello, Amalfi, Positano) during my stay. Thank you!
