The Aeolian Islands/in italian le Isole Eolie or Isole Lipari forms a volcanic archipelago that consists of 6 islands: Lipari, Salina, Vulcano, Stromboli, Filicudi, Alicudi, Panarea. The arcipelago has two active volcanoes. They are situated in the Tyrrhenian Sea, north of Sicily.
The only way to reach the Aeolian Islands is by ship or by hydrofoils. The main port from which it is possible to reach the Aeolian Islands is from Milazzo port.

1. Siremar
The ship company Siremar offers sea connections between Milazzo and the Aeolian Islands both with ships and hydrofoils. The price depends on the island destination. Trips to islands that are closer to Milazzo cost less, for example, to go from Milazzo to Lipari costs 14,10 EUR (the average journey time is 2 hours). However, to go from Milazzo to Stromboli costs 18,26 EUR, as it is situated futher from Milazzo. (the average journey time is 7 hours)
